I'm Milan Bogić, a Mining Engineer committed to bridging the gap between resource potential and sustainable execution in the mining industry. With a Bachelor's degree from the University of Belgrade's Faculty of Mining and Geology, and over a decade of hands-on experience in greenfield projects and mining operations, I've navigated the full lifecycle of mining operations—from conceptual studies to operational launch.

My career has spanned key roles at major players like Rio Tinto's Jadar Lithium Project, where I contributed to pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, mine design, and regulatory compliance with standards such as IRMA and BAT. There, I honed my skills in mine planning, waste rock planning and design, including production scheduling and optimization using Deswik Scheduler, Deswik LHS and CAD, ensuring efficient resource allocation while incorporating geotechnical and environmental considerations. At Zijin Mining's Cukaru Peki Gold-Copper Project, I managed underground and surface designs, waste rock planning, and topography surveys with tools like Surpac and GIS. Earlier, at HBIS Group's Sinter Plant, I focused on operational analysis, KPI development, and continuous improvement in processing, blending analytical precision with real-time problem-solving.

While I'm not exclusively a planning engineer, my experience has equipped me with strong capabilities in mine planning—crafting detailed schedules, haulage optimizations, and closure strategies using Deswik to deliver practical, compliant outcomes. Through MB Design & Planning, I provide tailored consulting in mining design, environmental solutions, and project optimization. Proficient in software like Deswik (CAD, Scheduler, LHS, Enviro Tool), Surpac, and Whittle, I tackle challenges in pit design, waste management, and sustainability with a focus on efficiency, safety, and long-term viability.
